ABC IE 6th Annual Gala - 8/31/10

This post is loooooong overdue! The 6th Annual Gala of the Association of Bridal Consultants was held at the Historic Fox Theatre in Pomona on August 31, 2010. It was well attended by the finest event professionals in the industry. It was truly over the top! The theme was Phantom of the Opera and I think we nailed it!!

This was my second year as the Chairperson for the event and alongside my co-chairs Mary Jo Gallegos and Annette Hoegner, we were blown away by all of the support from the donating vendors. My pictures aren't the highest quality, and really don't do this event the justice it deserves, but you will get the idea!

From Top to Bottom, the photos include:
-The Marquee outside the Fox with our name in lights!
-One of the beautiful sculptures of ice created and donated by Carving Ice
-The amazing cake from Cucamonga Cakery and some of the Decor from Carol's Secret Garden
-Lounge furniture from Lounge Appeal... they supplied us with several cozy lounge areas
-Live Entertainment with songs performed from the Theatrical version of the Phantom of the Opera
-A strolling table of hors 'deouvres for our rooftop cocktail reception donated by San Diego Spotlight Entertainment with the amazing food provided by Gourmet Gourmet Catering.
-The gorgeous view of the dining area complete with a crystal Chandelier from Carol's Secret Garden.

There are so many more pictures from this event that are amazing! We are already excited for next years event... we just keep topping ourselves! ABC IE is the BEST!!!!!

The Wedding of Lee and Priscilla - 8/21/10

The wedding of Lee and Priscilla was held at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California.

Priscilla chose this venue for the beautiful chapel with it's ornate wall of gold. She opted for minimal decor to allow the beauty of the chapel stand alone. It was glorious with all of the candles along the wall lending to the spiritual ambiance.

Priscilla was absolutely stunning as she entered the chapel in her ivory silk gown with the candlelight all around her.

The sounds of The Enchanted Trio from A Touch of Ivory played in the background.
What an incredible moment!

The reception was held in the Spanish Art Gallery surrounded by historic works of art. The gorgeous chandeliers which hung from the golden draped ceiling allowed for the perfect amount of light. The walls and archways were color washed to mimic candlelight. The room was full of romance!!

I included photos from both ends of the room since they are unique in their views. Stunning from either side, guests were surrounded by beauty!

Ambiance Designs created lovely centerpieces with soft shades of white, ivory and sage. Shawn Adams truly captured the theme of this beautiful wedding in his creations.

Gold Chivari Chairs from Elegant Design added class to the already gorgeous tablescapes! Satin floorlength linens in the perfect shade of champagne from Creative Touch Linens shimmered in the candlelight and highlighted to amazing florals.

The cake designed by Sweet Art Cakes was placed on the first level of the Grand Staircase allowing guests to enjoy the view from any area in the room. It was the perfect centerpiece to the beautiful room!

Priscilla and Lee have spent time in many famous cities all over the country, and labeled each table with a city and story of their time spent there instead of using table numbers. We used beautiful gold frames encrusted with faux pearls and crystals to showcase this fun idea!

Harleene from Cean One Photography was there to capture it all! Her artisitc eye and ability to catch the sweetest candid moments is amazing! I cannot wait to see this album!

I had a great time working with this beautiful couple in their planning! These two are so in love and enjoyed the most romantic day surrounded by their closest family and friends, and HMC Event Solutions was honored to be part of that! Congratulations Priscilla and Lee!

The Wedding of Joe and Staci 8/14/10

The Wedding of Joe and Staci was held at the historical Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, but simply add gorgeous decor from Carol's Secret Garden and you have an elegant affaire!

Joe and Staci envisioned black with touches of red to showcase this stunning venue. Carol draped chiffon fabric down the aisle adding pops of red in the floral decor. The Gazebo was complete with an amazing black and crystal chandelier which hung over the couple as they said their vows.

The theatre was elegant and dramatic with black iridescent crush table linens and ruby satin napkins from Elegant Design Specialty Linens which were rich and romantic against the gorgeous wood of the floor and the deep mahogany Chivari chairs.

Carol's stunning centerpieces at alternating levels of height gave the room depth and interest from any angel.

The walls of the room were complete with a gorgeous red color wash created by Entertainment Express who also provided incredible emcee & DJ entertainment for the guests!

Guests were treated to a fun red and black themed sweet shop table filled with all of the favorites of Joe and Staci. The adults loved it just as much as the kids did! Staci's sister Kristi and I enjoyed decorating the jars to make them festive for this special surprise.

Another surprise was the photobooth from Four Quick Clicks. John Fitzpatrick is a pleasure to work with and his booth is top notch! He customized a banner for each of the pictures that matched the wedding invitation carrying out the overall theme!

HMC's Darrick is the designer of this fabulous placecard display. He takes so much pride in details like these which make our events so special!

Michelle Johnson Photography was on hand capturing all of the wonderful moments of the day which were only made more special by the surroundings of the newly rennovated Padua Hills Theatre! I know their album will be amazing!

All of the Cakes and Desserts at Padua Hills are made in house by their pastry chef Sheryl Lindolm. She takes an already decadent and mouthwatering cake and turns it into a work of art! It's always a shame to cut into them, but well worth it! YUM!

Thank you to all of the vendors who helped to create a magical and wonderful day for Joe and Staci!

Congratulations newlyweds, and thank you for giving HMC Event Solutions the honor of being part of this wonderful day in your lives!

The Wedding of Mike and Dianne - 7/24/10

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA

The Wedding Reception of Mike and Dianne was held at the beautiful Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. The venue itself is such a beautiful place for a wedding, but once you add gorgeous decor and incredible entertainment against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, it becomes an amazing event!

Dianne had a vision of Vintage Hollywood Glam incorporating silver, feathers, and pops of pink against a white and silver shimmering background... complete with plenty of bling!!

The Pacific Ballroom at the Hilton has long windows across the back wall with breathtaking views of the beach.

Shelby Nolan of Green Leaf Designs created stunning arrangements for the centerpieces alternating high and low designs which added wonderful depth to the room.

With the accent of the glimmering chair covers and linens from Creative Touch Linens, the "Glam" in Dianne's vision was brought to life!

Guests danced all night to the sounds of the incredible Steve Burdick of Steve Burdick Events who also provided gorgeous lighting which created a color wash of pink along the white walls of the room... really bringing the drama when night fell!

Mike and Dianne wanted their guests to show their fun and quirky sides in a photobooth complete with props! They love their guestbook which guests pasted their photos into and wrote personal messages. Everyone got a copy of their own photo to take home as a keepsake!

Tomgirl Baking Company designed a lovely wedding cake to compliment the overall scene. I am not a professional photographer, so my photos don't do this justice... but the cake shimmered and looked gorgeous against the sunlight overlooking the beach!

Please visit Turville Photography. Steve was amazing to work with and I cannot wait to see Mike and Dianne's finished album!

If the cake wasn't enough of a sweet treat, the night was made complete by a fountain of milk chocolate by Elegant Fondue to the surprise and delight of all of the guests. It gave the guests that last bit of energy to keep dancing the night away... and they did!

Thank you Mike and Dianne for having HMC Event Solutions as part of your wonderful wedding day! Congratulations!

The Wedding of Colleen & Josh - July 16th, 2010

This beautiful bride is my assistant Colleen! We had so much fun planning her wedding together!

She has seen so many weddings over the last several years and had lots of ideas on how to customize her own. She did a wonderful job incorporating her favorite colors of coral and brown.

Colleen chose one of my most favorite local venues to say "I Do" to her wonderful new husband Josh...

Padua Hills Theatre is nestled in the Foothills of Claremont, California. With it's historical buildings dating back to the 1920's, and the rustic elegance of the courtyard, it was perfect for this gorgeous summer evening!

Carol's Secret Garden took Colleens color scheme and created a stunning backdrop for her ceremony and reception. Carol used gorgeous chiffon swag in the perfect shades of coral and brown along the aisle and throughout the gazebo.

She included beautiful hydrangea, roses, lillies, daisy's and all of Colleen's favorite flowers and greenery. Centerpieces were alternated from high to low which gave the room depth and interest.

Scott Yoffe of Entertainment Express was the entertainment director of the evening. He and his DJ Scott had everyone dancing all night! Scott also provided beautiful ambient lighting to color wash the walls in the loveliest shade of coral to match the decor.

Colleen and Josh sat at a sweet heart table behind the dance floor that was accented by a beautiful iron arbor and embellished with the same chiffon fabric used for the ceremony. It was perfect!

Please visit Michelle Johnson Photography's blogsite to see the amazing shots she got. My little camera can only do so much!! Michelle was amazing to work with on this wedding. We all can't wait to see Colleen's album!

The Wedding of Robert and Raquel, June 25, 2010

The Wedding of Robert and Raquel started with beautiful weather which was the perfect backdrop to this very special day! The Mission Inn is such an amazing venue with it's museum like ambiance, so Raquel and Robert opted for elegant and understated decor to allow the natural beauty of the architecture be the main focal point.

They chose a black and white background with Fuchsia florals to add a burst of color. The brides bouquet was lovely with pink roses and gerbera daisy's wrapped in a hand tied silk design.

By placing little accents of color throughout the black and white background, we were able give the event a little "pop" without taking away from the regal design that is the Mission Inn.

The guests were wowed with the elegant menu of Filet Mignon and all the accompaniments.

They also loved the personalized mint tins that Robert and Raquel gave to their guests as a wedding favor. I always say... edible wedding favors are the most popular!

The Galleria is a long and narrow room which was perfect for the 120 guests. Before they entered the Galleria for the dinner and formalities, they enjoyed the open air of the breathtaking Atrio outside of the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel for cocktails which were hosted by the families of the couple. Once the party started inside the Galleria, they had a full dance floor until midnight, and would have kept on going if they could have! What a fun group they were! It was a wonderful day for an extraordinary couple!

The Wedding of Jason and Brooke June 5, 2010

The Wedding of Jayson and Brooke was fabulous! The weather could not have been better for our resort themed event! The private estate is amazing on it's own, but with the outstanding wedding professionals we brought on for this wonderful couple, the home was transformed from beautiful to glamorous!

Shawn Adams of Ambiance Designs created stunning decor in Mango and Fuchsia to compliment and brighten the gorgeous dark wood tables and lounge style furniture we placed around the pool and under the patio. He and his amazing assistant Cynthia took Brooke's ideas and turned them into more than she ever dreamed they could be!

Amber Yin of Amber Event Design softened the concrete patio cover and pillars with beautiful draping and swagging of chiffon fabric. When the sun went down, Amber had the lighting set to wash the entire space with a beautiful mango lighting. It was stunning!

Guests dined on the upscale barbecue cuisine featuring tri tip, orange glazed chicken, sweet potato fries, incredible macaroni and cheese, grilled corn on the cob... and honestly I could go on and on! Don't get me started on the dessert buffet! Willie Rhine of Pieros Acqua Pazza catered the event with ease and excellence to the delight of every guest! Visit his Restaurant "The River" in Palm Springs.

Cean and Jeremy from Cean One Photography were there to capture it all on film! These two gentlemen are among the most professional in the business and constantly astonish me with the amazing shots they manage to get an anytime of the day, in any light, with any ambiance! Brooke and Jayson have an album that will be treasured for generations! Please visit Cean One's website and blog. My pictures don't do this event justice! That... again... is why we hire professionals!

Laura Moses of Vantage Point Wedding Films was there to capture every happy tear and laugh and will create a film for this wonderful family to look back at all of the joy that the day brought them. Laura is an artist, and I cannot wait to see the finished film!

What an incredible day for a wonderful couple. Brooke, Jayson and their families were wonderful to work with in the planning stages and they all had an amazing time that day! They didn't have to worry about a thing with the HMC team behind the scenes!

Congratulations Brooke and Jayson!!!!

The Wedding of Jared and Katelyn May 15th, 2010

The Brown Family home seemed to have been made for this wedding. The partial front view of the house doesn't do the beauty of the home justice! Jack and Kathy Brown gave their daughter a day filled with beautiful memories in the very home she grew up in. It was a vineyard themed wedding complete with the family's own private vineyard on their property. Everything about the day was beautiful including the weather. Shawn Adams of Ambiance Designs created all of the decor. My favorite was the gorgeous piece he designed for the wedding arbor. Brandon Kidd of Brandon Kidd Photography captured it all beautifully. Please check out this wedding on his blog
and scroll down to "Jared and Katelyn" for the June 7th posting. My personal pictures don't do it justice... but that's why we hire professionals like Brandon!
